The Ministry of Energy expects that oil refineries will begin to come out of repairs in the near future and the situation on the motor fuel market will improve. This was stated by Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov on September 11 at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2023). “Every day we expect the refinery to leave the repair zone, we hope that in the coming days we will increase production volumes,” the minister emphasized (quoted by Interfax).
In an interview with the Rossiya 24 channel, Shulginov drew attention to the fact that in the coming days, repairs at the Astrakhan gas processing plant (part of Gazprom Pererabotka) will be completed, thanks to which the situation “will begin to improve.” At the forum, he also said that the topic of providing the domestic market with fuel was discussed with oil workers in the government, primarily in order to ensure supplies to agricultural producers.
