The increase in the tariff for the transmission of electricity through the unified national electric grid (UNEG), which is carried out by “Rosseti”, is of a one-time nature, said the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shulginov on the sidelines of the Caucasian Investment Exhibition.
“This is a one-time measure that applies only to the FGC tariff, it does not affect the population. For the rest, tariff changes will take place within the established time frame in accordance with the parameters included in the forecasts of socio-economic development,” – leads his words TASS.
Former government increased the tariff for electricity transmission via (UNEG) from May 1 by 6.3%. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) then explained that the indexation is associated with the “implementation of a large-scale investment program in the grid complex.”
On April 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled that there would be no indexation of utility tariffs in the next year and a half. Since January 1, 2023, the cost of housing and communal services has already increased by an average of 9% in Russia. From December 1, 2022, utility tariffs have already been indexed. Until 2022, the amounts in payments increased every July 1. Such a decision will allow the regions for more than a year and a half, that is, until July 1, 2024, not to index tariffs, the Ministry of Economy noted.
