The Ministry of Economy, together with other departments, is working on introducing exceptions to the ban on the use of drones in some regions. Such a measure is being considered to launch experiments on the operation of civilian UAVs, said Vladimir Voloshin, director of the department for the development of the digital economy of the ministry.
“More than 50 heads of regions have decided to ban flights for obvious reasons, now we are developing, together with colleagues, a design on how to make an exception from this barrier, so that flights can be carried out for experiments where it is needed and where it is safe. “, – said Mr. Volodin at the session of the forum “Strong ideas for the new time” (quoted by TASS).
The reason for the ban was attempts to attack Russian regions using drones. In particular, on May 3, drones attacked Kremlin, after which the ban on UAV flights was introduced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko spokethat flights of drones used by agricultural producers can be allowed at an altitude of up to 150 m, this issue is being discussed with the Ministry of Transport.
