The one developed by the Ministry of Defense disappeared from the official website for posting draft regulatory legal acts project law on raising the age for dismissal of mobilized and contract soldiers. Document was published on regulation.gov.ru on February 8.
“The project has been deleted. It seems something went wrong! The page you are requesting does not exist. It may be out of date, deleted, or an incorrect address was entered in the address bar,” the project page says. It was not possible to find this project on other pages of regulation.gov.ru.
The project, prepared by the Russian defense department, assumed that during the period of mobilization, martial law or wartime, a single maximum age for service would be established for contract soldiers and mobilized ones. The age limit during the period of mobilization is up to 70 years for senior officers, and 65 years for others.
The explanatory note to the bill stated that the adoption of the bill “will ensure the required level of staffing of the Russian armed forces.” At the same time, there will be no reduction in the level of combat readiness and combat effectiveness of associations, formations and military units during the military operation in Ukraine.
