The Ministry of Culture refused to issue a distribution certificate for the new series starring Danila Kozlovsky. How writes RBC, a mystical detective story directed by Sergei Filatov, was supposed to be shown at the online cinema festival currently taking place in Sochi, but in the end the work disappeared from the screening program.
“The project was not given a distribution certificate,” said the festival organizers. “There is nothing more to say.”
RBC points out that the press service of one of the online cinemas, on whose platform the series was supposed to be released, refused to comment on the situation.
At the beginning of the year, Kozlovsky announced the filing of a lawsuit against Vitaly Borodin – author of numerous statements to law enforcement agencies with accusations against famous artists, including Alla Pugacheva and Liya Akhedzhakova. In a statement against Kozlovsky, Borodin wrote, accusing the actor of “discrediting the army,” disagreeing with the SVO, and also claimed that he allegedly called for participation in rallies. In April, the St. Petersburg Maly Drama Theater Lev Dodin announced the cancellation of several performances in which Kozlovsky was involved. In May it became known about an unscheduled theater inspection and suspension of its work. The court refused to accept Kozlovsky’s claim against Borodin for libel, citing some gross violations.
