The ministry believes that buildings made of wooden CLT panels can be erected in almost any climatic conditions in Russia. The material can withstand high loads and is durable for load-bearing structures. At the same time, the construction speed is 2.5 times higher compared to the “classical reinforced concrete technology”.
President Vladimir Putin in February instructed Starting this year, start using low-rise, prefabricated wooden houses to resettle Russians from dilapidated housing.
