The Michelin Guide will develop a rating of the best hotels called Clef Michelin (“Michelin Key”), according to its website. The first list is planned to be presented in the first half of 2024.

Michelin International Director Gwendal Poullenec explained that the rating will not include resort hotels where the guest is “isolated from the city.” “But the price range will be wide: from less than a hundred euros to several thousand,” he told the newspaper Le Figaro.
The Michelin gastronomic guide has been produced since 1900 and is one of the most authoritative in the world. Establishments can receive a rating from one to three stars.
