The head of the Federal Grid Company – Rosseti, Andrei Ryumin, at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, said that as a result of the merger of Rosseti and the Federal Grid Company, management costs were reduced by 5 billion rubles.
“I can say that we have achieved all the goals that we set for ourselves within the framework of this association. In particular, as an example, we were able to reduce management costs by more than 5 billion rubles,” said Andrey Ryumin (quoted by Prime).
The reorganization took place in 2022 on the basis of the Federal Grid Company, to which its former parent company Rosseti, as well as the Far Eastern Energy Management Company, Tomsk Trunk Grids and Kuban Trunk Grids were merged. The group received a new name – “Federal Grid Company – Rosseti”, or simply PJSC Rosseti.
Formally, the merger of the companies marked the end of the history of the division of Russian electrical networks into transmission and distribution networks. The majority shareholder of the merged company was the Federal Property Management Agency (the agency owns 75% of the securities plus 1 share). Now Rosseti is responsible for 2.5 million kilometers of power lines and about 550 thousand substations.
