The book of memoirs of Japanese actress and TV presenter Tetsuko Kuroyanagi about her childhood and school life was recognized in the Guinness Book of Records as the autobiographical publication with the largest circulation.
Publisher Kodansha said the book “Totto-chan, the Little Girl at the Window,” published in 1981, has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide. The book has been translated into more than 20 languages, including Russian.
“Totto-chan, the little girl at the window” is popular not only among children, but also among adults, as it helps to understand the psychology of a child. In his memoirs, Kuroyanagi talks about his school days, relationships with friends and teachers.
