The Ministry of Economic Development is considering the possibility of installing charging stations for electric vehicles at gas stations on key federal highways. About it informed Kommersant, citing the minutes of the July 5 meeting, which discussed the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles at gas stations.

So far, the exact selection criteria for gas stations where electric charging stations (ECS) will have to be installed have not been determined. The Ministry of Economic Development will need to establish criteria taking into account the length of transport networks, their category, economic feasibility, etc.

As the adviser to the president of the IT company Sitronics Group Armen Safaryan noted, EZS must be installed at gas stations every 100 km, while their installation is subsidized “as well as for other locations.” Green Drive noted that the installation of fast filling stations requires free power grid capacity of at least 60 kW, while only 10-15% of filling stations can meet this requirement. In their absence, the cost of technical connection of EZS can be from 1.5 to 7 million rubles. for 150 kW, the company specified.

In June at the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported Izvestia that now 4,400 chargers are already working in Russia. In particular, more than 400 chargers for electric vehicles have been installed in Moscow since 2020, Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin reported earlier. Another 200 stations are available for electric buses.
