The German concern Henkel, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of household and industrial chemicals, has completed the sale of its Russian assets. The amount of the transaction, as agreed, amounted to 54 billion rubles. (€600 million). This is stated in the financial report companies for the first quarter of 2023.
“On April 20, 2023, Henkel announced that it had entered into an agreement to sell its business activities in Russia to a consortium of local financial investors. At the moment, the transaction has been completed, the sale price is 54 billion rubles,” the concern’s report says.
Henkel, headquartered in Düsseldorf, has been operating in Russia since 1990. He owned 11 factories in the Moscow region, Perm, Saratov, Leningrad, Ulyanovsk regions and the Stavropol Territory. He produced products under the brands Schwarzkopf, Syoss, Fa, Persil, Vernel, Pemolux, Laska, Moment glue. In April 2022, Henkel announced the sale of its business in Russia in response to the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
April 20 of the current year concern informedthat agreed to sell the business in Russia to a consortium of local investors. The consortium, which will become the new owner of Henkel’s business in Russia, includes Augment Investments, Kismet Capital Group and Elbrus Services.
