The Russian company Europ Foods GB CJSC, a manufacturer of Gallina Blanca goods, was acquired by the South Korean holding HYSG Group. The deal was on October 25th. The newspaper reported Vedomosti with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
According to the register, HYSG Group is the sole shareholder of Europe Foods GB. Ryu Taejun is the CEO of the company.
HYSG Group is owned by the HY Group holding, which owns the rights to the Doshirak brand. The company produces beverages, dairy products, seafood, and instant noodles in Russia, South Korea, Vietnam, and the United States.
In December 2021 became knownthat the Spanish GBFoods, a food manufacturer under the Gallina Blanca brand, decided to leave the Russian market. It was expected that production in Russia would be sold to Nepalese instant noodle manufacturer CG Foods. According to Kommersant’s information, the size of the deal was to be 1-1.5 billion rubles. In June became knownthat the deal was cancelled.
