In Russia, the legal entity of the American developer and publisher of computer games Electronic Arts (EA) has been completely liquidated. It is reported by TASS with reference to the data of the unified state register of legal entities.
The Dutch Electronic Arts Nederland BV and the German Electronic Arts GmbH are co-owners of Electronic Arts LLC. Information about the termination of the legal entity through its liquidation was entered into the register yesterday, March 31.
EA owns the franchises of Need For Speed, Medal of Honor, The Sims, Battlefield, Dead Space, FIFA, Mass Effect, Star Wars (in the gaming industry), Apex Legends, and more.
In March 2022, Electronic Arts suspended sales of games in Russia and Belarus, the company’s products are not available to Russians in online stores. At the same time, EA did not rule out that it would return to the Russian market. In November, Izvestia reportedthat EA has completely left Russia.
