The Nupes deputies are still demanding the resignation of the Minister in charge of Local Authorities, whom they have accused of homophobia since mid-July.
Despite the summer torpor that grips the capital, the left does not relax the pressure to demand the resignation of Caroline Cayeux, Minister of Territorial Communities, accused of homophobia for remarks made in 2013, during the debates around the Marriage for All law. This Tuesday afternoon, while the last questions to the government of the parliamentary session were being held in the National Assembly, more than a hundred people gathered on the Esplanade des Invalides, not far from the Palais Bourbon. Many Nupes deputies were present, including the rebels Mathilde Panot, Danielle Simonnet and Manuel Bompard, as well as the ecologist Sandrine Rousseau.
