Tambov and Belgorod regions became the best regions of Russia in terms of the number of sports facilities. It is noteworthy that the Moscow region also fell into the top ten lagging regions in terms of the provision of sports infrastructure, where there are almost 600 people per sports facility.

Ms. Istyagina-Eliseeva also provided data on the funds allocated to the regions for the development of physical culture and sports: “The Magadan region is the absolute leader, they spend 19,260 rubles. per inhabitant. On average, the Russian figure is 3900 rubles. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Sakhalin Region, the Chechen Republic, and the Astrakhan Region have very significant budgets.
