The intrigues of “Stars in Africa” ​​turned out to be completely false

Replies to the heroes were not written from the heart

In the latest episode of “New Stars in Africa,” a brawl almost broke out. Such a scenario in a survival show is not exactly exotic – it’s customary to tickle the public’s nerves here by any means. The main thing is how it is executed.

The roles of men on the verge of a nervous breakdown include actor Oscar Kuchera, comedian Alexander Ptashenchuk and blogger Evgeny Ershov. It is quite difficult to name the exact cause of the fire. The participants of the show weave complex intrigues, form clans, and, in general, do everything necessary within the framework of the project, where the strongest or the most cunning wins.

Ershov felt like a victim of a conspiracy and at a general meeting, much like a yellow talk show, he told Kuchera and Ptashenchuk everything he thought about them. The words “balabol”, “bro”, “you’re driving” were heard more often than others. They say that in most cases such outbursts of anger are staged. Well, where there is staging, there is performance, and with the last one it wasn’t very good. Apparently, blogging, acting in TV series and participating in comedy shows are not the best arenas for honing acting skills. Or the lines to those in conflict were not thought up from the heart.

There was a time when scandalous exchanges amounted to exciting improvisation. Here, for example, is a classic of the genre – the “One on One” program from 1995 with the participation of Boris Nemtsov and Vladimir Zhirinovsky, where in the finale the heroes poured juice on each other. Then it was a shame and disgrace, but now the retro battle between politicians looks like a gentleman’s duel. Instead of “bro” and “you’re driving,” they sounded: “bastard, I want to splash it in his face,” “what are you doing,” “how is it possible, the Constitution prohibits such things,” “please sit down.” And where did all these words go from the screens?

Music still connects us, or so TV producers think. Over the weekend, two musical projects launched on different channels, the names of which contain the word “stars,” although celebrities are far from the main ones.

There is a touching unanimity in musical formats almost everywhere: fewer celebrities, more folk talent. “Sing a Star” is based on the “Duets” formula, but there are only half as many stars here, because a person of a peaceful profession sings with a famous artist. In “Brighter Than the Stars,” which looks like a variation of the doubles show, there were no stars at all, with the exception of the jury.

There is probably nothing wrong with the intention to bring on stage just those who want to sing, but the program immediately loses its secularism. “Duets” provided a chance to compare how the stars looked against each other. And episodes of the program “Two Stars. Fathers and Sons” became an excellent opportunity to gossip about the fate of the offspring of famous families and the inevitable connections. Probably, in “Sing a Star” you can also see some kind of intrigue and even gloat when the jury gives victory not to the star, but to the people’s talent. But there is still little passion in the competition itself. Among the participants there are not many with bright personalities, especially compared to the background of “The Voice”. The stars are clearly in no hurry to strike sparks and sing with polite indifference.

But in “Brighter than the Stars” it’s even worse. Celebrities made up beyond recognition in projects like “One to One” were something of a mystery. In the democratic version there is no plastic makeup, as well as the feeling of amazing transformation. Everything is immediately clear and from the outside it strongly resembles a corporate event based on a popular TV show. Great holiday activity, but should it be turned into a TV show?

In general, the more characters in entertainment programs whose souls sing, the more often doubts arise that we have countless talents. Maybe it’s a matter of hasty castings or some administrative problems, but the appearance of some amateur artists on federal broadcasts causes nothing but bewilderment mixed with awkwardness. And a slight nostalgia for the times when there were star shows and concerts on the channels beyond all measure.
