An emergency on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline occurred in the Danish Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) near the island of Bornholm. This was reported to journalists in Nord Stream 2 AG.
“In cooperation with coastal services, it was established that the incident occurred in the Danish EEZ southeast of Bornholm. Coastal services have established a security zone with a radius of 5 nautical miles as a security measure, ”the company said in a statement (Kommersant has it). Earlier, the Danish Maritime Authority reported a gas leak near the island.
According to Nord Stream 2 AG, the pressure on the line A of the pipeline fell from 300 to 7 bar per night, under investigation.
German Federal Ministry for Economics and Climate Protection commented what happened. Germany does not yet know what caused the pressure drop on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
