The head of the Ministry of Construction promised Putin a record housing commissioning this year

In Russia, by the end of this year, a record 104 million square meters will be commissioned. m of housing, said the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Irek Fayzullin at meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

Commenting on these data, Fayzullin, in turn, drew attention to the fact that 90% of Russians who improved their living conditions did so with a mortgage.

Since 2019, 576,000 families have been resettled from emergency housing in Russia, 14 regions of the country have already completed the program, and another 36 will complete it this year, Faizullin added.

At the meeting, the president and the minister discussed the restoration of new regions. According to the head of the Ministry of Construction, by the end of the year 8,400 objects will be restored, of which 4,608 are apartment buildings and social and cultural facilities.

For the entire 2022, 102.7 million square meters were commissioned in Russia. m of housing, Rosstat reported, which is 11% higher than in 2021. This is a record figure since 1991. At the same time, individual housing construction accounted for 57.2 million sq. m. m – 16.5% more than in 2021, and for multi-apartment housing – 45.5 million sq. m. m (+0.7%). The growth rate of housing commissioning slowed down somewhat compared to the results of 2021 (92.6 million sq. m, +12.6% year-on-year), but turned out to be higher than 2020 (82.2 million sq. m, +0. 2%) and pre-crisis 2019 (82 million sq. m, +8.4%).

According to data for the first half of the year, new multi-apartment housing projects with a volume of 21.4 million square meters were introduced in Russia. m, which is 21% more than in the same period last year, reported previously in the Ministry of Construction.
