The dollar dropped below 91 rubles. for the first time since July 28. As of 15:59, the currency is trading at 90.80 rubles/$ (-0.81 kopecks at the opening of trading).

At the same time, there is a decrease in the value of the European currency to 97.41 rubles/€. The yuan at 15:49 dropped to 12.445 rubles.

Ruble strengthening tie up with an increase in foreign currency earnings. The growth in volumes, according to the Central Bank, is associated with a presidential decree on the mandatory sale of foreign currency earnings: it came into force on October 16. In October, this figure increased by $3.3 billion.

At the end of October, the volume of trading in major currencies in the “tomorrow” delivery mode amounted to 6.4 trillion rubles. The growth occurred due to the Chinese currency. Yuan took almost 50% of the market for the first time.
