The fund, which will be involved in the reconstruction of airfields in Russia, will carry out work at 51 sites, said the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Dmitry Yadrov in an interview TASS. The Ministry of Transport proposed creating such a fund in January; earlier Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated the need to involve private business in reconstruction. The creation of the fund was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“To increase the connectivity of our regions, a fund will be created, within the framework of this fund a major overhaul of 51 airfields in our country will be carried out. It should be noted that 25 of them are located in the Far Eastern Federal District,” said Dmitry Yadrov.

According to Mr. Yadrov, about 250 billion rubles will be spent on the global reconstruction of the country’s airfield infrastructure. from the budget. Of the 75 airfields, 10 are already under reconstruction, the rest are planned to be reconstructed by 2030.

Currently, the repair of airfields is mainly financed under the “Development of Regional Airports” project, for the implementation of which 40.2 billion rubles have been allocated from the budget in 2024.
