The decision to resign Vladimir Komlev from the post of General Director of the National Payment Card System (NPSK) was agreed with the Bank of Russia, which owns 100% of NSPK. Mr. Komlev himself spoke about this in an interview with the TV channel RBC.

“It (the decision.— “Ъ”) was indeed somewhat unexpected specifically for the market. But in fact, the decision is quite thoughtful, balanced, and agreed upon jointly with the shareholder. Still, the period is quite long. I have been working at NSPK for almost ten years from the first day, and a lot has been accomplished. Apparently, the time has come to move somewhere further. This is truly a normal, thoughtful, balanced decision,” said Mr. Komlev.

Vladimir Komlev, who headed the NSPK since its founding in 2014, will leave post of head of the company from January 1, 2024. According to Frank Media, for the first time after the departure of Mr. Komlev, the duties of the general director will perform Oleg Tishakov, who oversees the legal direction of the NSPK.
