Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) Viktor Zubkov said that it is too early to discuss the prospects for paying dividends. According to him, it is initially necessary to clarify the budget for 2023 and adjust the budget for 2024.
“All will be. We will adjust – we will clarify this year’s budget as usual and then consider the next budget,” Mr. Zubkov told Interfax on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week, discussing the prospects for dividend payments. The company’s board of directors plans to consider the issue of adjusting Gazprom’s budget in the near future.
Against the backdrop of a statement by the head of the board of directors of Gazprom, the company’s shares on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX: MOEX) decreased to 167.32 rubles (-0.01%). However, by 18:16 they rose by 0.54% and reached the level of 168.93 rubles. During trading, the concern’s securities rose to 169.89 rubles.
In June, the meeting of Gazprom shareholders supported the recommendation of the board of directors and made a decision not pay final dividends for 2022. According to Gazprom’s IFRS reporting for the first half of 2023, the company’s net profit amounted to 296.241 billion rubles, revenue – 4.134 trillion rubles.
