General Director of DOM.RF Vitaly Mutko said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel that the rise in prices for new buildings in Russia may stop in 2024. At the same time, in the secondary market, according to him, the cost per square meter will decrease.

Mr. Mutko also said that demand for mortgages is expected in Russia in 2024, despite the suspension of the program to subsidize rates for new buildings. “We see that the number of mortgage loans this year will be somewhere in the region of 1-1.3 million. This, of course, may be less than in 2023 – 2 million loans, but we must assume that this is at a normal level 2022,” he said (quoted by TASS).

In addition, Mr. Mutko believes that during 2024 the family mortgage will be transformed. He associated the transformation with the fact that this year has been declared the Year of the Family. According to him, payments for the birth of children and the growth of maternity capital can increase the demand for family mortgages.

According to Cian. Analysts”, the average cost of primary real estate in the 18 largest regional markets of Russia in January amounted to 163.1 thousand rubles. for 1 sq. m, increasing by 1% by December. Experts noted that the dynamics turned out to be more restrained than in the previous two months, when new buildings rose in price by 2.4% and 1.9% in 30 days. Market analysts expect further stagnation in prices, although a noticeable decline in demand is not expected until the second quarter.
