Farmers have harvested grain from 98% of the area under grain and leguminous crops, said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev. He announced the data at a meeting of the operational headquarters at the government coordination center.

According to the minister, the harvesting campaign is almost completed. To date, more than 151 million tons of grain have been threshed, including about 99 million tons of wheat in bunker weight. Mr. Patrushev believes that by the end of 2023, Russia will receive the second largest harvest in history, which will allow record volumes of grain to be sent to foreign partners. “According to plans, this is more than 65 million tons per season,” he confirmed the export forecast for the 2023–2024 agricultural year (quote from RIA Novosti).

In early November, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Agriculture Oksana Lut reportedthat the grain harvest in Russia at the end of 2023 amounted to 147 million tons. Ministry suggested limit the export of durum wheat used to make pasta for six months from December 2023.
