The head of the Primorsky Territory, Oleg Kozhemyako, during a working meeting with the deputy head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), Sergei Puzyrevsky, expressed indignation at the significant rise in the price of military equipment in specialized stores.
According to the governor, after the announcement of partial mobilization, special equipment – backpacks, sleeping bags, flashlights, unloading, first aid kits and other equipment – has increased significantly in price. “In addition to what is included in the mandatory list of staffing by the Ministry of Defense, there are many things that are not included in it, but significantly help military personnel in the combat zone,” explains press office government of Primorye. We are talking about equipment that mobilized citizens are forced to purchase at their own expense.
“Now we need to focus on stores selling products necessary for the needs of a special military operation – an empty first-aid kit cost 300 rubles, it began to cost 3,000, a pouch for dumping empty stores cost 400 rubles, it also costs 3,000. Stores say that this is suppliers. Here it is necessary to trace the chain and determine on the basis of what arguments their prices increased by an order of magnitude,” said Mr. Kozhemyako.
Sergei Puzyrevsky promised that the FAS would deal with this issue. “A significant increase in the cost of goods raises questions from the public, and the task here is to understand the reasons,” Mr. Puzyrevsky said.
Military Commissar of Primorsky Territory Nikolai Trigubko declaredthat it is planned to mobilize 7.7 thousand people in the region. Oleg Kozhemyako reported that officials of the regional government received 150 summonses.
