The government will allow registration in hotels through State Services

The government intends to adopt an act on registration in hotels using the Gosuslugi mobile application in April. The innovation is provided for in the “road map” for transforming the business climate “Tourism”, which was approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

IN press service The government clarified that the road map was developed based on proposals from the business community and has 15 points. Initiatives include:

• registration at the place of temporary stay in hotels through the “State Services” application (you will not need to present a passport);
• Russian citizens will be able to register at hotels using their foreign passport, regardless of their place of permanent residence;
• introduction of the concept of “ski resort” and a list of such facilities, which will include ski slopes, cable cars, artificial snow systems, hotels, catering facilities and equipment rental;
• introduction of liability for violations of the law for tour guides (guides) and guide-interpreters (if they do not have the appropriate certification, they will face a fine).

The authorities believe that this “road map” will help “to accumulate initiatives to remove barriers to business and ensure direct contact between authorities, entrepreneurs and industry specialists.”

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko in July 2023 saidthat by 2030 Russia plans to create year-round seaside resorts on the Baltic, Azov, Black, Caspian and Japanese seas.
