From January 1, participants in industrial clusters involved in import substitution will be able to apply for subsidies (up to 150 million rubles per applicant). The government announced the launch of a preferential regime for the operation of enterprises.
“Such enterprises will be able to reimburse up to 50% of the cost of purchasing start-up batches of components produced by other cluster members,” reads a press release on website cabinet. The preferential program was initiated on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The government believes that subsidizing enterprises will ensure the restoration of “broken cooperation ties” in industry.
After Western countries imposed sanctions against Russia, the government began preparing state support programs aimed at mitigating the effects of external restrictions on Russian business. In October, the Cabinet formed pool project for import substitution, estimated at 5.2 trillion rubles.
