The government has simplified the procedure for placing summer cafes

The government has expanded the list of objects for the placement of which it is not necessary to register the rights to land plots. The updated list includes verandas for arranging street cafes, as well as sites for placing construction equipment and materials during current or major repairs of buildings. Relevant decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Owners of restaurants or cafes will now be able to equip a site adjacent to the main building without additional procedures. This can be done if the land under the new seats is in state or municipal ownership and has not previously been provided for other purposes.

The authorities expect that the new measure will help to carry out major or current repairs of buildings faster, because now it is possible to place equipment and building materials closer to the place of work. The government also believes that this will support entrepreneurs.

In Moscow, restaurants have already begun to prepare for the season of summer verandas – since March 15, the city authorities have allowed the construction of outdoor areas. Establishments will be able to receive guests on the street from April 1. In 2022, according to the City Hall, 3.5 thousand verandas worked in the capital.
