The government has reduced the rate on rural mortgages for border areas to 0.1%

The rate under the rural mortgage program for border areas will be 0.1%. The order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, TASS reported with reference to the government press service.
Thus, the maximum mortgage rate for the construction or purchase of housing in rural areas of border municipalities has been reduced from 3% to 0.1%.
The press service of the government noted that during the operation of the rural mortgage program, 109.7 thousand loans were issued in the amount of 220.4 billion rubles.
The rural mortgage program has been operating since 2020. Mortgage can be taken to buy a private house or build it on a new or existing site. For the Far East, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Leningrad Region, the maximum loan amount is 5 million rubles, for other regions – 3 million rubles.
