The government approved the strategy for the development of unmanned aircraft until 2030

Within six and a half years, Russia should form a new branch of the economy related to the creation and use of civilian drones. This is stated in the strategy for the development of unmanned aircraft until 2030, approved government.

The document defines five areas:

• stimulating demand for Russian unmanned aerial systems (UAS);
• development and serial production of such systems, creation of large production centers;
• infrastructure development, including the construction of airfields, heliports and promising drone ports;
• training for unmanned aircraft;
• fundamental and advanced research in the field of unmanned aerial systems.

It is planned to start creating a system of research and production centers and conducting tests this year. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Government of Moscow, ANO “Platform of the National Technological Initiative” and several other organizations have been appointed responsible for this work.

In 2024, the development of training modules and training courses on ALS will begin, as well as their implementation in general, secondary vocational and higher education programs. This will be done by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Moscow government and ANO “NTI 2035 University”.

“The government is completing the formation of a national project for the development of unmanned aerial systems. The national project will become the main managerial mechanism for implementing the adopted strategy,” said First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov.

On April 27, a meeting was held on the development of unmanned aircraft with the participation of President Vladimir Putin. He named industry “the most important area of ​​the country’s activity” and estimated its volume at 1 trillion rubles, as well as offered start teaching drone control in schools. Mr. Belousov informedthat the government wants to develop a system of tax incentives for drone manufacturers, similar to IT companies. Rosaviatsiya create analogue of Flightradar24 for drones.
