At the age of 90, the founder and artistic director of the Moscow Jewish Theater “Shalom” Alexander Levenbuk passed away. This was reported by HRC member Alexander Brod.
“Tonight, at the age of 91, the People’s Artist of Russia, founder of the Shalom Theater, Alexander Levenbuk, died,” Brod said.
Alexander Levenbuk was the permanent presenter of the “Baby Monitor” program during the Soviet years. Brod noted that Levenbroek taught children the rules of the Russian language, as well as kindness and humanity; his name became part of Russian culture and history.
