The Investigative Committee has put on the wanted list the founder of the investment company Fintailor Investments Limited, Kirill Lyushinsky, as well as Cypriot lawyer Vassiliades Christodoulos and businessman Oleg Mikhalev. They were charged with money laundering on a particularly large scale. This was reported to TASS by a source in law enforcement agencies.
“During the operational-search activities within the framework of the investigation of a criminal case of money laundering (Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and embezzlement on an especially large scale (Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the involvement of Oleg Petrovich Mikhalev, Vassiliades Christodoulos and Kirill in the crimes committed was established Sergeevich Lyushinsky,” the agency was told.
The investigation asks that a preventive measure be chosen against them in absentia in the form of detention.
Kirill Lyushinsky is the founder of Fintailor Investments Limited, an investment company licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission and accredited to provide a wide range of cross-border investment services in the EU financial markets.
Through Fintailor Investments Limited Kirill Lyushinsky owned shares of Bank Vozrozhdenie. Then Fintailor Investments Limited appeared in the Promsvyazbank case. In 2019, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal of Moscow on the claim of Promsvyazbank obliged Fintailor Investments Limited, together with three other investment companies associated with the ex-beneficiaries of Promsvyazbank, the Ananyev brothers, will pay about 8.26 billion rubles.
Vassiliades Christodoulos heads the law firm Christodoulos G. Vassiliades Co LLC. The United States imposed restrictions on him for helping large sanctioned Russian businessmen hide assets through complex financial schemes.
