Prices for dishes in Russian restaurants over the past year have increased by an average of 20%, said Sergei Mironov, chairman of the coordinating council of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia. According to him, prices have hardly changed in the fast food segment.
He told RIA Novosti that in the restaurants of the Meat & Fish chain, prices increased by an average of 8%, in the Yakitoriya chain – by 7%. “Prices for meals have risen by an average of 20%, but some have not risen at all, as, for example, at fast foods,” Mr. Mironov said.
According to Focus Technologies, in January-November in Moscow, attendance at fast food establishments, including food courts, increased by 3% yoy, and their turnover increased by 16% due to the growth of the average check. According to the Index Check, fast food establishments increased the number of offline and online checks by 18%, and turnover by 22%.
