Part of the assets of the Rus-Oil oil holding became state property represented by the Federal Property Management Agency. The corresponding entries were made in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on December 27, please note Interfax.
Polar Lights Company LLC and Mayorskoye LLC came under Russian control. The first controls licenses for the production of hydrocarbons within five fields in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The second holds a license for the extraction of raw materials within the Mayorskoye deposit in the Orenburg region.
The owners of Rus-Oil were Alexey Khotin and Alexander Klyachin. In May 2023, the court recovered 192.1 billion rubles from Mr. Khotin. and withdrew the shares of his company in favor of the state. In early December, the prosecutor’s office requested that he be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
