Moscow businessman Denis Izbrekht bought 100% of the shares of JSC “First Model Printing House” from the state. The auction started from 3 billion rubles, the asset was sold for 4.9 billion rubles.
The First Exemplary Printing House is the successor of the printing company founded in 1876. In 1984, it was merged with other printing enterprises into the publishing house I.D. Sytin”. In 1919, it was nationalized and renamed the “First Model Printing House”. It was sold in 2016 to Unitex LLC for 2 billion rubles, which planned to build a residential complex on the site of the printing house. The deal was canceled by the court.
The auction took place on July 19. The press service of the Federal Property Management Agency confirmed RBC sale. The agency claims that four people took part in the auction, but only Mr. Izbrecht was listed on the auction site. The representative of the “First Model Printing House” noted that all production branches work stably and fulfill their obligations.
Together with the Moscow printing house, seven other branches were sold. One of them is the Ulyanovsk Printing House, the largest printing company in the Russian Federation in terms of circulation. Within five years after privatization, the new owner cannot re-register the asset. At least 75% of the proceeds from the sale of products, works and services must be provided by printing activities. The buyer must also provide financing for the production of printing products for 1.5 billion rubles, buy printing equipment and overhaul production and storage facilities.
Denis Izbrekht is the CEO and owner of 25% of Arkada Holding LLC (the main activity is the wholesale trade in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and similar products). Half of this company is owned by billionaire Dmitry Mazepin. In 2015 Arkada Holding bought 1/3 of the area of the Central Department Store.
