The ex-owner of Seventh Continent will transfer the assets of Okhotny Ryad to ZPIF

The newspaper, citing data from the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), writes that the service approved the acquisition of about 90% of Manezhnaya Ploshchad LLC by the management company Fondovy Kontinent. It is clarified that the trust management of the “Fund Continent” is a closed-end investment fund (ZPIF) “The Seventh Continent”.
The transfer of assets to the ZPIF is connected with the restructuring of Zanadvorov’s assets, Sergei Chamkin, general director of Manezhnaya Square, told the newspaper. ZPIF was created in 2022 precisely for these purposes, and Zanadvorov is the only shareholder of Seventh Continent.
The businessman is restructuring due to the termination of independent operating activities after the closure of Seventh Continent in 2017, Chamkin added. In addition to Okhotny Ryad, the entrepreneur’s portfolio contains over 140 real estate objects, including the Chocolate shopping center (TC), areas in the Tower 2000 business center (near Moscow City), as well as real estate of a closed network “Seventh Continent”.
Zanadvorov came out from the retail business in 2017 – then, according to the deal, out of more than 100 Seventh Continent stores in the capital, 50 convenience stores were transferred X5 Retail Group under Pyaterochka, which belongs to her, and about 20 grocery stores in “significant places in the center of Moscow” – “Azbuka Vkusa”.
The deal included 12 real estate objects in Kaliningrad and the region with a total area of about 30,000 sq. m, including nine supermarkets “The Seventh Continent”. Then the purchased assets were included in the group’s supermarket division – “Victoria”.
