Businessman and former head of the Luzhniki complex Alexander Pronin has headed the energy construction company Rostec since mid-February with projects in the Crimea and Kuban Technopromexport, according to data Rusprofile drew attention to RBC. The appointment of Mr. Pronin was confirmed to the publication by Rostec.
“The corporation is aimed at further developing the energy supply system in strategically important regions of the country. Alexander Nikolaevich’s professionalism and experience will help build an effective policy for managing core assets,” the state corporation told RBC.
Rostec clarified that Technopromexport is “at an important stage of development” and is engaged in solving strategic government tasks in the field of energy supply to the country’s regions.
Alexander Pronin led Luzhniki from 2011 to 2013. Prior to this, he also served as vice president of the AvtoVAZ group.
Technopromexport was created in 1995. The company has been part of Rostec since 2009. Among the major projects of Technopromexport is the construction of the Balaklava and Tavricheskaya thermal power plants in Crimea.
