The Court of General Jurisdiction of the EU did not satisfy the claim of EuroChem on the abolition of anti-dumping duties on the supply of urea-ammonia mixture (UAN) from Russia. This is stated in the Official Journal of the European Union. Trinidad and Tobago producer Methanol Holdings also received a refusal to cancel duties on UAN.
The system of permanent EU anti-dumping duties has been in effect on UAN imports from the USA, Russia and Trinidad and Tobago since 2019, the restrictions are designed for 5 years. For EuroChem, the duty is €42.47 per tonne, the highest UAN export duty imposed by the European authorities on international companies.
In June of this year, the United States also introduced anti-dumping duties on Russian nitrogen fertilizers. The main UAN suppliers from Russia are Eurochem and Acron.
