The euro exchange rate on the Moscow exchange rose above 77 rubles

Euro exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange exceeded 77.5 RUB/€, for the first time since April 25, 2022. As of 18:27 Moscow time, the euro exchange rate showed an increase of 1.28% and amounted to 77.34 rubles/€.
The dollar gained 1.39% during trading. The currency was traded at the rate of 72.14 rubles/$. The yuan exchange rate also rose to 10.63 rubles/ (+1.65%).

At the beginning of February, the exchange rate of the dollar, after a month-long break, exceeded the level of 71 rubles/$. against the backdrop of a decrease in sales of foreign exchange earnings in the Russian market due to the introduction of restrictive measures against Russian oil and petroleum products.
The EU embargo on offshore oil supplies from Russia was introduced on December 5. On the same day, the price ceiling for Russian oil at $60 per barrel came into effect. Since February 5, the price of oil products from Russia has also been capped at $100 and $45 per barrel for products that are traded at a premium and a discount to oil.
