Natalya Grantseva turned 72 years old in the fall of 2023

Several sources report the death of the writer and editor-in-chief of the “thick” literary magazine “Neva” Natalya Grantseva (real name Natalya Milyakh). She died after a serious illness at the age of 73, although the reason for her departure was not given.

“This, without exaggeration, is a huge grief for all Russian literature and for me personally. Natalya Grantseva was a very talented poet, literary researcher, and editor. We will write a lot more about this wonderful woman. And, of course, we will never forget her,” this is how publisher and editor Evgeny Stepanov responded to the death of his colleague.

Grantseva held the post of editor-in-chief of the legendary “Neva” for seventeen years; all these years, Natalya Anatolyevna also worked with young writers as part of the magazine’s seminars at the Forum of Young Writers of Russia, the CIS Countries and Abroad. The number of authors grateful to her is measured in hundreds.
