The Easter Gift Festival was held in Moscow

The Department of Culture of the City of Moscow, the Moscow Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events invited Muscovites to a festive program in honor of Easter.
The theme of the festival was both newly built churches in Moscow and ancient cathedrals with a long history. The participants of the Easter Gift festival were the Elokhovsky Cathedral, the Church of St. Nicholas on the Three Mountains, the Church of the Resurrection of the Word on the Assumption Vrazhka, the Church of Sergius of Radonezh on Khodynka, the Patriarchal Metochion in Chernigovsky Lane, the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Ostankino, the Church of the All-Merciful Savior in Mitino, the Church of Alexander Nevsky at MGIMO, the Church of Elijah the Prophet in Cherkizovo, the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Life-Giving Spring” in Tsaritsyno, the Intercession Church on Yaseneva Street, the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Solntsevo. The temples dedicated the holiday to the theme of good deeds and charity, and each participating temple prepared its own interesting program.
The uniqueness of such holidays lies in the combination of ancient traditions of celebrating Easter, spiritual chants, folk music with modern musical trends and preferences of the audience.
On the big stage in front of the most beautiful old temple in Yelokhovo, a professional choir of the temple performed, the audience was pleased with the Innovation Theater. The parishioners of the temple also prepared theatrical performances on Easter themes. Songs of the laureate of the first degree of the All-Russian competition-festival “Soul of Russia” named after M. All the spectators sang along with Valentina Tolkunova Tatiana Lipovenko, and even passers-by stopped! The ensemble of folklore music “Karagod” impressed with its unique performance, the performance of the soloist of the International Fund in memory of Arno Babadzhanyan Nikolai Ryabukha and the Honored Artist of Russia Olesya Evstigneeva touched the soul. Well, when the ensemble of the Cossack song “Volnitsa” entered the stage, the audience began to dance!
Master classes for children and adults were held in bright, beautiful huts, and those who wished took part in painting the growth model of an Easter egg. The guests of the holiday noted that the atmosphere is very pleasant, the decoration is elegant, without artificial flowers, which are prevalent throughout Moscow.
The place itself is prayed for, the bell ringing is beautiful. It is good that such holidays are held, here the older generation can relax, and the children can have fun and learn useful things. Moscow should dictate fashion both in urban design and in holding large events, so that guests of the capital can see how traditions and new trends can harmoniously combine in public spaces.
