The dollar rose above 64 rubles for the first time since the beginning of October

The dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange is growing by 0.9 rubles, it rose above 64 rubles / $. This happened for the first time since October 13th. By 17:59 Moscow time, the dollar was trading at the rate of 64.01 rubles/$. The euro rose from the opening of trading by 1.58% and by 17:59 was trading at the rate of 68.09 rubles/€.
On December 5, restrictions against Russian oil and a ceiling on prices for Russian energy came into force. According to the respondents “Kommersant” experts, these measures began to put pressure on the ruble exchange rate. By the end of the year, the ruble exchange rate may drop to 70 rubles/$.
