The dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange dropped below 90 rubles – Kommersant

Dollar exchange rate during trading on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX: MOEX) fell below 90 rubles/$, to 89.92 rubles/$. The dollar reached this level for the first time since December 1. The euro exchange rate is 97.11 rubles/€, as follows from the trading platform data.

At 14:26, in calculations for tomorrow, the dollar exchange rate fell by 77 kopecks. The euro exchange rate at the opening of trading was 97.62 rubles/€ and lost value throughout the day.

In mid-November, the exchange rate of the dollar reached its lowest level in the last five months, falling below 89 rubles. This, as Kommersant previously wrote, was facilitated by the preparation of exporters for the tax period and the risks of fines if they refused to sell foreign currency earnings.
