The Tagansky District Court refused to satisfy the claims of lawyer Alexander Treshchev against MTS (MOEX: MTSS) on the recovery of $1 billion in compensation for moral damage due to the “naked” party organized by TV presenter Anastasia Ivleeva. He demanded $1 billion be recovered from MTS to be transferred to the fund to support participants in the military operation “Defenders of the Fatherland.” The plaintiff did not appear at the hearing.
The lawsuit was filed against both Ms. Ivleeva and the general producer of the MTS-owned online cinema Kion, who was listed in the statement as the vice president of MTS. He was among the guests of the party. At the company later clarifiedthat he left the post of vice-president of MTS more than a year ago and did not resign from MTS structures after the party. MTS also stated that it had nothing to do with the organization and holding of the event in Mutabor.
This is not the first lawsuit against the TV presenter and the company because of the “naked party.” In early January, a group of citizens led by actor and producer Alexander Inshakov also demanded to recover $1 billion from the company, but the court refused to consider it.
The party, organized by Anastasia Ivleeva, took place at the Moscow club “Mutabor” on the night of December 21, 2023. The party caused a scandal; its participants, among whom were many show business stars, began to be “cancelled.” Ms. Ivleeva was fined 100 thousand rubles for violating public order. The Mutabor club, where the party took place, was closed for 90 days for violating sanitary and epidemiological standards.
