The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg canceled the arrest of funds in accounts of types “C” and “I” for 2.7 billion rubles. as part of a claim against Euroclear Bank. The plaintiffs are Ingria Management Company and Euroinvest CEO Yuri Vasiliev, Interfax reports with reference to the court ruling.

Lawsuit was sent in October. Euroclear is required to recover $24.4 million, €287.9 ​​thousand, 53.9 thousand Swiss francs and 2.6 thousand pounds sterling in favor of Mr. Vasiliev, as well as $3.15 million in favor of Apart Development closed mutual fund.

In November, the plaintiffs sent a statement to prohibit Euroclear and the National Settlement Depository (NSD) from conducting transactions with funds from accounts of types “C” and “I” in the amount of the claims. The court granted the request. Euroclear and NSD subsequently asked for the interim measures to be lifted. Having considered their applications, the court found the measures taken to be excessive and canceled them.

This week Transcapitalbank submitted in the Moscow Arbitration Court a claim against Euroclear Bank for 1.8 billion rubles. NSD is also indicated as a third party, the essence of the bank’s claims is unknown.
