The New Fashion company, which manages the Zara brand in Russia, has registered new domain names for potential online clothing stores, transmits TASS with reference to Spark data.
In December, the company registered the dubfashion.ru, dubonline.ru, ecru-clothing.ru and ecru-fashion.ru domains.
On the eve of Izvestia wrotethat New Fashion, which manages Inditex brands (Zara, Pull&Bear, etc.) in Russia, has started registering domain names for future sites. In addition, New Fashion has already received non-exclusive rights to the Zara trademark in Russia until February 2025.
Zara suspended the work of its stores in Russia on March 5 amid the start of a Russian special operation in Ukraine, logistical problems and sanctions. According to El Mundo, there were 502 Inditex stores in Russia, 86 of them under the Zara brand. Russia accounts for about 8.5% of the group’s global EBITDA.
At the end of October, it became known that Inditex had reached an agreement to sell its business in Russia to the Daher group. At the same time, if Inditex decides to return to the Russian market in the future, then the Daher group has the possibility of potential cooperation through a franchise agreement.
