The authorities of the Primorsky Territory intend to increase the tourist flow from China and create most favored nation treatment for guests from the neighboring country.

“We are introducing the China Friendly tourism standard in Primorye to provide quality services for guests from China, including the presence of Chinese-speaking tourism staff,”— stated Regional Governor Oleg Kozhemyako at the general meeting of the Russian-Chinese Business Council.

Mr. Kozhemyako expects an intensification of tourist exchange after the resumption of the visa-free regime for tourist groups and the launch of air services between Vladivostok and Chinese cities. “Five flights will fly to Beijing from Vladivostok, and three flights a week to Harbin,” the official said.

According to the head of the region, “China accounts for two-thirds of the foreign trade turnover of the Primorsky Territory.”
