On July 18, the Central Bank puts into circulation a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles. “The work of Viktor Tsoi,” according to press release regulator. The coin was made in a circulation of 5,000 pieces from 925-carat alloy.
On the reverse side of the coin is a portrait of Viktor Tsoi with a microphone against the background of an image of a guitar with tribal languages. It is made using the technique of laser matting. On the left side of the circle is the name of the musician and dates of life: 1962–1990.
Viktor Tsoi is a Soviet rock musician, founder and soloist of the Kino group. He also starred in eight films, including the film The Needle. In 1990, he died in a car accident in Latvia.
