The Central Bank again began to report on the structure of international reserves

The Bank of Russia resumed publication of the structure (xls.) international reserves. As of March 1, they amounted to $574.2 billion, of which assets in foreign currency – $410 billion, monetary gold – $135.6 billion. In percentage terms, gold accounted for 23.6%, foreign currency – 71.5%.
The Bank of Russia stopped disclosing the structure of international reserves in March 2022 after a significant part (about $300 billion) of Russia’s gold and foreign exchange reserves was blocked in the US and Europe. Over the year, the volume of reserves decreased by $42.886 billion. The share of foreign currency in international reserves decreased from 72.4% to 71.5%, the share of gold increased from 22.9% to 23.6%.
