Actor Jake Abraham, famous for his role in the cult film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, has died at the age of 56. It is reported that he suffered from cancer.

The actor is from Liverpool, he also starred in the film “Mean Machine”, and received palliative care for prostate cancer, writes The Guardian.

Actor Jake Abraham, best known for his role in Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, has died at the age of 56.

Abraham, who played Dean in the British gangster film, previously revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis in July and said he was receiving palliative care.

Abraham’s character in the 1998 classic Ritchie was one of two incompetent thieves sent to steal a pair of antique guns.

The Liverpool-born actor’s other roles included the 1991 series GBH as well as the film Formula 51.

Bill Elms, a Liverpool theater director and producer who has worked with Jake on several occasions, told the Liverpool Echo: “I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Jake on a couple of shows that I co-produced, Twopence to Cross the Mersey and Lennon’s Banjo.” He was a wonderful actor, a great company member and was much loved by many in the industry. We will miss him greatly. I have many fond memories of Jake, he was always so cheerful and cheerful to be around. I admired him for going public with his illness, it would make a difference for many others and save lives. This is a very sad day.”

Jake Abraham previously told the Echo he was diagnosed with cancer after seeing doctors after a long period of illness. The cancer later spread to the rest of his body and tumors developed in his spine, hips and bladder.

“I worked, but I didn’t feel well. “I overcame those periods when you don’t feel like yourself, you have no energy and pain arises,” said the unfortunate man. – What made me go to the doctor and get tested for PSA (prostate-specific antigen) was that there was blood in my urine. I passed the test and ended up at King’s College. They told me: “You have cancer, we are very, very sorry.” The doctor said that I had this many years ago, maybe four years ago.”
